Leslie Dealy

I have been captivated by observing and trying to capture both nature and beauty since I was a young child -  watching the sun shining its sparkling light on the deep, blue-green ocean like a thousand diamonds, admiring the beauty and innocence of a child at play or that of an older woman with years of living etched on her face.  I sought to portray these impressions, first with pencil on paper, then with acrylics, watercolor, oil and pastel.

As a teenager I took classes at the Art Students' League in NYC.  I minored in Fine Arts at both Temple University and the University of Pennsylvania.  Whilepursuing my career as a Clinical Social Worker at Boston College, I did figure painting in oils at the Cambridge Adult Education Center.

Since retiring, I have been painting mostly watercolor landscapes of our beautiful Cape Cod.  I have studied with Susan Overstreet and Ed Chesnovitch and have exhibited at the Cultural Center, Yarmouth Town Hall and the Community College of Cape Cod.
